2 out of 5 stars Broke first day   January 7, 2009
Maybe I was just unlucky but my titanium umbrella broke the first day I used it..It actually broke the second time I opened it. Apparently one of the rivets broke on one of the arms so that when it opened it just got all bent out of shape. I'm sending it back for a replacement but so far im not impressed to say the least. Typically I buy cheap $2 or $3 umbrellas that have lasted a whole lot longer than an hour!!!!!

Hopefully the replacement will do better...

4 out of 5 stars Great umbrella for school; fits in backpack or coat pocket.   December 30, 2008
My 13 year old son had selected a cheaper (truly) model, and I was lucky enough to find this one. For a little more, I think we got him a much better umbrella that will last. He wishes it had a longer handle.

5 out of 5 stars Don't leave home without one.   December 18, 2008

I've owned one of these for the past 5 years and my wife is now on her second, as she misplaced the first.

While it's a little pricey for a folding umbrella, you do actually get a high quality item. In 5 years of usage, it has never turned inside out or failed in any way.

Although many folding umbrellas open with the press of a button, this one closes the same way. Maybe that doesn't sound like its important, but when you are carrying a package and only have one hand free, it makes all the difference in the world.

Mine goes right inside my "commuter" bag and is always with me. Of course, I don't put it into the bag while its wet, but I would hope that most people have enough sense not to do that anyway.

If you want a folding umbrella, look no further.

3 out of 5 stars A Men's Umbrella???   December 17, 2008

I ordered this umbrella for my Mom for christmas. It came yesterday in a box that says "Umbrella for Men". Nice huh.

Nowhere did I see that this is a "men's" umbrella in the description and what the heck is a "men's" umbrella anyway??? Besides that it looks nice.

I've used this umbrella only a handful of times, and rarely in high winds. I bought it in August 2008 and already by December, half the spokes have bent and some have broken. If only I lived closer to a Totes Outlet to exchange this.
