Why they listed it as new I do not know. The blade was scratched and it was dull.It took me 6 mn to crush 5 ice cubes,and by the time I was done they became one solid ice cube again. turk

The right replacement ! August 13, 2008
This is an oftentimes broken piece in any blender. Too much ice grinding will eventually take its toll on these, and result in your blender starting to "leak." It is far better to make this relatively inexpensive replacement than tossing the whole blender out and buying a new one.
