Fun, but not that great January 6, 2009 I got these for laughs, mainly, and that is what they are for. The shot glass is thick and melts quickly. I forgot one on the table after "putting it down" and it melted, obviously. The disappointment stems from the shape of the glass you consistently get. We've managed one set of decent ones and a number of crooked and awkwardly shaped figures. Now, we do it by layers. I 1/3 of an inch at a time.
It's a fun party item and a good gift, but you can live without it easily and save the $7.
cool product! November 26, 2008 these are pretty neat!! just remember to chill the shot before you pour it in the shot glass or it will crack to pieces!! (I got patron all over the place)
Awesome Product November 18, 2008 Yeah, i saw them, thought of so many people i know that drink, and thought it was unique. Then i read some about it, it can withstand up to 416 degrees or some number like that so people were melting candy and making them and everything else. It will be great xmas presents for the drinkers i know, and fun for me to play with (i don't even drink). And it works great, the ice doesn't melt for a while.
Pretty neat alternative to regular shot glasses.. November 16, 2008 I have to say these are pretty cool. Unless your going to do several shots in a row I recommend maybe doing only one shot and then pitching it into the sink...or another drink. In that case I would make sure you have plenty made up. Makes a great novelty gift. Also if Tequila is your thing it is easy to just dip the rim in salt and add tequila and enjoy!
Cheap Fun September 22, 2008 These make a great drinking novelty. The only real catch is that it can get hairy when you try and get the glasses out of the mold. I run tap cold water over the mold for about 4-5 seconds and then they generally come out pretty easily. Then they are good for about two shots. Then it's time to get out the actual glassware.
