Product Description The Whodunit Card Game: "Murder in the big city, and you must solve the crime. Brenda's dead, and foul play is suspected. To win, find out who did it, where, when, how, and why." This is a card game that shares some similarities with Clue, but adds some other questions to the mix, like what time of day did it happen, and what was the killer's motive? To the usual process of elimination and deduction found in most Clue-type games, they've added scoring elements. You can collect sets of clues and reveal them to score points. Obviously, though, this aids the other players as well by eliminating some categories. You start with a number of cards, which each contain a specific clue. As play progresses, you can attempt to accumulate all the clues in a category, which will earn you points based on what turn you choose to reveal your set. Each turn, you are allowed to direct a question to a specific player. The question must be answerable with a number.

Fun game! June 9, 2008 I got this for a friend of mine's birthday. It's easy to learn and although similar to Clue, Alibi is a LOT more fun. Good game for adults, probably also older kids & teenagers. If you like puzzle/card hybrid games buy this one!
A family favorite! October 27, 2007 So far, every adult who has played it, enjoys it! As another review said, it is similiar to clue, except no board. As you pass cards after each turn you can pick up clues pretty quickly after a few minutes into the game. It takes no longer to play than a game of Clue even with the extra details you need to figure out, and since everyone can ask a question on their turn, plus the passing of cards, there is no boring turns spent trying to move from room to room (as in Clue). The winner is the one with the most points, so no matter who accuses, the winner can be anyone!
Excellent game! December 26, 2001 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
If you like murder mystery games, this one goes far beyond Clue. Be the first to get the correct answers to score the most points. This is a great game for a group of people or for just three. It is similar to Clue in concept but without the board. It is also more involved because you try to discover more information (such as time of day, location, murderer, motive, etc.) Even when it is not your turn, you can pick up information from noticing not only other players questions and answers, but which players are asking and answering. As in Clue, one person announces when they decide they have figured everything out. But, in Alibi, everyone then makes their best guesses and everyone may earn some points. It can be an addictive game and I have yet to find someone who has played that did not like it. It is small enough to be easily carried and interesting enough for any group of people. Also, it can be adapted to different types of players. Use a simpler version with children and a more complicated version with more sophisticated players. If you like games, this would be an excellent addition to your collection.
