In this collector's set, Barbie has traveled back to the fabulous '40s for a very special concert by her favorite singer. She has "Stardust" in her eyes and she's going to meet her idol--the Sultan of Swoon! It's Frankie Sinatra, the original crooner and the king of the bobby-soxers, ready to sing for our favorite doll. Barbie is dressed as a '40s teenager in a pastel plaid skirt, a blue and tan jacket, a white blouse, plus classic pearl earrings and a necklace. She also wears white nylon bobby sox, brown loafers, and a white ribbon headband to hold back her brunette flip hairdo. With that wavy hair and remarkably charming grin that made the girls scream, Ol' Blue Eyes is looking mighty dapper in a plaid sport coat, charcoal gray slacks, a white shirt, a blue sweater vest, and one of his trademark bow ties. Twelve-inch Frank has jointed elbows, knees, and waist so he can grab his included microphone and sing to "The Girl Next Door." Display stands for both dolls are included. --Marcie Bovetz

I have been eyeing this up for a while and it was worth the money. Barbie & Frankie are both very beautiful (although Frank's clothing isn't very Sinatra-ish) and this collectable will be very in demand in years to come. Probably not too good for rough play though. I love this!

A young Barbie doll looks hip and ready for the sock hop in her poodle skirt. The Frank doll bears a remarkable likeness to a young Frank S. performing in the early years of his legendary career. I recommend this item for Barbie doll and or Frank fans of all ages. It is a favorite of viewers of my colection.
