Honk! Honk! It's gridlock and the little red car can't move. The player is a traffic cop in the Rush Hour Traffic Jam Puzzle where the objective is to get the red car off the road. To play, pick one of 40 challenge cards; solutions are printed on the back of each card. Then set up the cars and buses in a specified pattern on the 6-inch-square road grid. Move the vehicles one by one (obey those traffic laws!) until the red car can escape the traffic jam. There are four levels of difficulty. Kids can alternate turns with another player or just "play in traffic" alone. The game from Binary Arts received a national award from Mensa and is used in elementary school math classes. The design includes clear instructions printed on the sturdy box, which can be used both as a playing tray and for storage. The game cards stow away in a drawer in the road grid. Addicting for ages 6 and up December 1, 2008
I bought this game as a Christmas present for my 6-yr old daughter last year. My 10 and 12 year kids had already played it at school and were dying to get their hands on it (apparently it is a winner among pre-teens, too). But I said they had to wait for their little sister to play with it first. It took a couple of months for her to show enough interest to open the box. Since then it is one of her favorite toys! She started out playing with me, but now she plays with it several times a month by herself (hurray for any toy that allows a child the independence to play it by him/herself!). The best things I love are (a) there are different challenging levels so adults as well as kids get hooked; (b) all the pieces fit into a draw-string bag so set-up and clean-up occurs in seconds...plus the bags makes it very portable; (c) it has a small footprint so you can play it in your lap if you like; (d) it is a simple concept that is fun and challenging; and (e) each game is as long and short as your determination to win.

I love this toy. It is great for all ages. My six year old daughter and nine year old son love it. My husband and I love to play too.
Rush Hour August 2, 2008
This is a great toy! Comes with a string tie bag to keep all the little pieces (vehicles) in one place. The thing I love about this toy is that my son can play with this all alone. While I am driving, he is in the backseat having a good time and using his brain to figure out the many puzzles!
It makes me really happy to see him play with this toy and not be worried about his video games.

My kids were enthralled by this game from the moment it arrived! They even wanted to take this game on a camping trip and nothing else. If you're having any doubts, I would reconsider because it really gets children thinking. You won't regret buying this game.

I thought I should drop a few lines and tell you how much my 9 year old nephew loves this game. Honestly, we didn't know about the game until he was put in pedi-ICU at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. He has been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation (simply put, the hole in his cranium that allows the brain stem and spine to go through to the spinal column is too big and his brain stem has fallen down through the hole) and with that came SEVERE Headaches. After about a week in ICU he was able to take a trip to the play room and he found Rush Hour. This game challenged him to use his mind to think through moving the cars around to get the red one out. He was very good at it and loved the game so much that my sister-in-law and I decided to buy him his own. This game has traveled from his home in the very northern Panhandle of Texas to Lubbock to Dallas and in a few days he will be headed to New York to the Chiari Institute so he can be evaluated there. Thank you for keeping a sick little boy's mind challenged enough to quit thinking about his hurting head. The rest of us love to play it as well. So many times people don't writet about the good things. They only complain about the bad. I wanted to share this story with you. --Aunt Kim
