Warm and joyous music! This Limited Edition CD includes a bonus DVD that features a 22-minutes documentary titled "Through the Curtain" (a making of the show Corteo)

The music of Corteo achieves an unusual level of intimacy through a combination of inspired vocal performances and the warmth of acoustic instruments which will soothe and resonate with music lovers. The melodies, with their European sensibilities, are complemented with the beautiful poetry of words sung in a blend of Italian, French and Spanish. The exuberance of the musical performances masterfully played out by musicians on a broad selection of instruments, such as violins, harp, accordion and a haunting organ; evoke a powerful feeling of authenticity and genuine artistic spirit. The production of this studio recording involved 61 musicians and singers, including a 16-piece choir and a 13-piece string section.

About the show: Corteo, which means "cortege" in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels. The music, by turns lyrical and playful, is what carries the show through a timeless celebration, somewhere between heaven and earth, in which illusion teases reality. Corteo, the show and the music, is an oeuvre of rare depth and beauty.
