the world party on tour July 14, 2005 pimpin ho ball looks like fun but ibiza was better casue it showed more than one place and what the best place to party in the world looks like
The best Ibiza depiction I've seen March 2, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The World Party has done an amazing job with this DVD. I wasn't overly impressed with the depiction of the Pimp and Ho Ball in Vegas, mostly a bunch of drunk people in as little clothing as possible, but the second feature on Ibiza I found the best depiction to date.
I have been looking for a good depiction of Ibiza on video for years and these guys pulled it off. Everything from Bora Bora Beach, to Foam Parties, afterhours chill out sessions, to the sunset at Cafe del Mar is on this movie. It's a lot of beautiful people having a great time, and spans beyond the club scene showing off shopping and dining areas of the old Ibia Town as. The music is great, and the bonus cd is respectable. There are even two short interviews with Christopher Lawrence and Paul Van Dyk. It is informative, and flashy, and a great time. If it is a rainy night and there are no parties in your area, I recomend having a few drinks and turning up the volume on The World Party, you'll feel like you are in clubbers paradise yourself. TWP is right: This is "where the happiness is happening."
disappointed February 29, 2004 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wasn't too impressed with this DVD. There was just too much one-on-one interviews with the crew and not enough footage of the pimp-n-hoe party and ibiza. I don't know why they couldn't do their commentary over the party scenes. The bonus CD has all the songs on the DVD and they're pretty good.
a wanna be Wild On T.V. show February 20, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although this dvd was suppose to depict what the scene is all about, it never hit me inside. I felt as if I just purchased a Brooke Burke rip off! There really isn't a soundtrack (which would have been real cool) It was drowned out by a half dozen narrators trying to get their three seconds of fame. Alot of rambling about who was there, celeberty wise, and no feeling of the music and vibe. The Ibiza half of the movie was alittle better, but still too much talking. I recomend whoever makes more of these films to let the music and the people at these parties tell the story. Hard to turn on the surround sound , and have the dj pump through the speakers, when the narrators are screaming about how pretty they look. Peace!!! PLUR
World Party on Tour-Vegas&Vegas December 13, 2003 I realy loved this DVD. Keep in mind this is not for little kids. It does have nudity in it, but nothing like you haven't seen in a "R" rated movie. The film is a little repetative. The interview with the party people for Vegas kind of ruins the vibe but the music and the nice visuals make up for it. The music is very good and it does take you away to another of world. I have to say that the Ibiza portion of the DVD does an excelent job of taking you to another world. You just have to see it for yourself. Vegas part is great for the visuals, Ibiza for the dreamy vibes it gives you. I would recomend it if you want a taste of the action.
