You've seen them in restaurants and theaters--those tubes full of lights proprietors use to mark stair edges and other potential hazards that might be fallen down or tripped over in dim light. That's not to say that Good Earth Lighting's rope lighting products can only be used in public venues--you could use them as funky accent lighting in a living room, party lighting, or to outline a path in your backyard.The key to using these lights to full effect is mounting them securely, and everything you need in order to do this is included in the hardware kit, which contains mounting clips, cable ties, and screws. The lights themselves are extremely long-lasting--they're rated at 35,000 hours, and the heavy-duty PVC rope is an unobtrusive 3/8-inch in diameter. For longer runs, you can easily connect one set to another (up to 330 feet maximum). The G9524CLR-I is 24 feet long, and operates at 120 volts. If you need other lengths, see the 6-, 12-, and 48-foot models (#G9506CLR-I, #G9512CLR-I, #G9548CLR-I). Note that these lights will heat up when in use--they should not be left on unattended. These lights look great hung up around the inside edge of our new porch, we love the nice glow it gives off compared to a regular porch light.

Purchase process was easy. The product arrived in time. One of the 24 foot strings has a broken wire so about two feet does not light unless you twist and play with it. It is too small of an item to fool around trying to return, etc., so I just won't buy from that vendor again. I probably will not buy this type of product on line ever again. Live and learn.

I bought one of these 24-footers, it works great now but I was a little scared when I first put it up... One section of about 6-feet was blinking after I'd installed it along the ceiling crevice in my dining room, Eventually I got working ok just by repositioning it... but that's why I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5.
