Not pleased at allAugust 20, 2008 I purchased this lamp to mount on the wall over my electric piano (for sheetmusic). The gooseneck is too weak to support the lamp, and the LEDs are too weak to be called anything more than a nightlight.
the right color temperature for picture lighting?June 28, 2008 I planned on ordering two of these for picture lighting but got to thinking about the color of an led light source. I have an led drop light that works great but the color is very blue (high color temperature). Picture lighting is best when a warmer light source is used...like incandescent. Not sure the bluish source will do the painting justice.
good when it worksMarch 8, 2008 We bought one of these to provide light on a painting. It worked well so we bought a second for the same purpose. The second did not work at all. Hopefully if you buy this product you will get one that works.
Does not last longDecember 17, 2007 I don't know if my batteries aren't fresh but this has not provided light for a long time. It always dies on me. I have changed the batteries twice. I will try some new batteries but next time I will invest in cordless that has to be drilled in the wall with a standard buld. The hassle with this is not worth it.

This product works as advertised. It provides a cool white light onto pictures. The clip works reasonably well on frames that are not too thick. I find the lighting satisfactory for small to medium sized pictures. The edges and corners of larger pictures are not well lit when using a single light. I get a little nervous that some of the plastic clips might break, but that hasn't happened (yet).
