5 out of 5 stars great for stargazing   January 5, 2009
I purchased these binoculars to view the night sky, and the results are impressive. We recently stopped on a dark country road and tested them out. The view was extraordinary; I could see detail that brought the sky to life. One caveat---the weight of the glasses mandates that to get the best results for stargazing you need to steady yourself on a solid object, such as an automobile, building, or tree; it is difficult to hold the glasses still very long without some type of support. For non-astronomical viewing this is not a problem.

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful view   December 16, 2008
I never have had a binoculars. But I was trying out some to buy. When I bought this one I was surprised. Everything is very clear. I can see the moon, stars, all I want. I recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars its all worth it!   October 17, 2008
I don't know much about Binoculars. Just wanted one to take with me to games and scenic places... so I bought it. And I am glad I did, because it's well worth it's price.

5 out of 5 stars Outzstanding Value   September 9, 2008

3 out of 5 stars overrated   August 30, 2008

Bought these after the glowing reviews for a gift. They were not the caliber I expected from the reviews. Bulky and heavy. Optics good but you have to press your eyes very close to the viewers to see well, and I felt there was not enough of a wide angle to justify the bulk.
Spend some more $ if you can do so and invest in about a $250-$400 pair-- I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for--you'll be a lot happier.
Thanks to Amazon and their great return policy!
