| Customer Reviews:
Flickering light September 21, 2008 The light flickers when changing colors, which disturbs the peaceful effect I'd prefer in a night light. Otherwise it's fine. I couldn't really tell what it looks like from the original photo, so I hope the one I'm adding is helpful.
This contemporary and energy efficient night light changes colors September 7, 2008 The Maxxima MLN-31C LED color changing night light is a fun and energy efficient night light. It has three different color LEDs, including red, green and blue. The light cycles through these colors in 8 different ways to create 6 total colors, including shades.
The night light has a clean and modern style. The bottom of the body is solid white plastic, while the upper body is made of a clear, solid plastic that conducts the light throughout the night light. So this nightlight is appropriate for any house with contemporary decor.
The blue shades produce a good bit more illumination than the red shades, so the amount of light emitted is not a consistent level of brightness. This adds to the fun of the light, but may be an issue for light sleepers.
Because this light has LEDs, it is much more energy efficient than a nightlight with regular bulbs. Because of the way the clear plastic conducts the light, there is no excessive or piercing light coming from the LEDs. So this light is quite energy efficient while also being practical and fun.
One thing to consider is the only way to turn off this nightlight is to unplug it, so you would want to have it on all the time.
