| Customer Reviews:
LOVED HAMPTON!!! July 23, 2008 I read the review of Lovehampton in a People magazine, and it seemed like a light hearted summer-reading-romp. What I found was a thoroughly engaging story that made me want to keep reading, learning more about the characters and their "stories". And Sherri's writing, and the humor she brings to it, in every way, just made me laugh and smile all the way through! I question that I may have enjoyed it more than someone else because I grew up on Long Island (NOT the Hamptons) and certainly knew of the north vs. south fork lifestyles, but realized right away this was not the case! Sherri has a way to enthrall, and enroll the reader in a way that you feel like you are right there, living the life between Manhattan and the Hamptons! I think anyone can relate to the characters, as some of their types have crossed our paths in our own lives, no matter where you are from! Can't wait for her next one!!! Loved it loved it, loved it!
Loved Lovehampton July 19, 2008 I choose Lovehampton for my book club to read in July...we were looking for a summer read...this was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the book and it inspired lots of conversation. Lovehampton is well written with lots of laugh out loud lines. The characters are well developed...several were described using terms like "hair flip" or "the mayor"...these words instantly told me so much about the character. Looking forward to Sherri's next book.
I'm reading it again! June 24, 2008 I adored this book. It went with me everywhere when I first got it. Now that I'm done I haven't found anything I like as much as this fun, funny love-and-life story, so I'm reading it again and loving it just as much as the first time! I won't go over the plot details because you should just get this book. Sherri Rifkin, write another one so I don't wear my copy of Love Hampton out!
Great debut novel! June 23, 2008 I really did not want this book to end. Chick lit, beach read at its finest - I can't wait to read more by Sherri Rifkin.
Tori Miller is believable, funny, and vulnerable. The supporting cast is terrific as well.
Makes me wish I was 20 years younger and living in NYC - I would SO do the "Summer House" bit!
Reminds me of summers past June 16, 2008 If you like a quick beach read and if you are at the beach in a share house, then even better. It reminds me of summers that I spent in summer houses with friends. If you like a light summer read then this is a great book to have. The story takes you to alot of clubs and parties in the Hamptons with a group in a summer house together. There is nothing too heavy or deep here but you do want to find out what happens to "Miller".
