| Customer Reviews:
I love this toy November 25, 2008 I don't write a lot of reviews but I'm so happy with this purchase I needed to write this one. Our son is 11 months now and loves this toy. It's the perfect toy to get from the time a baby can pull themselves up to play and stand holding on to something.
Great learning toy to keep em busy--wish I'd gotten it sooner! November 24, 2008 I had been wanting this toy since my daughter was 3 months old but never got it (it was on her X-mas list). I didn't think it was worth the [...] the store was charging so I eventually forgot about it until I found it in a thrift store for [...] when my daughter was a year old!
Let me tell you, it is definately worth $45!
You can take the legs off to put it on the floor for the little ones, then put the legs back on when you have a cruiser or baby who is pulling up. Unfortunately, you'll probably need to take the legs back off once they start climbing but that's no big deal.
There are so many different songs, you'll never get sick of them. There are jazz/blues/swing style songs and traditional kids songs. Even a jazzy version of the ABCs and counting 1-10. It is super easy to switch between modes, all the baby has to do is turn the page. One of most fun activity on it is the trombone slider, which plays a cool trombone riff as you slide it! My daughter's favorite activity is the piano which (in music mode) plays a different jazz piano riff for each key. She rocks back and forth ala Ray Charles as she gets down with her bad self!
The only thing I don't like about it is the little green door (its purple on mine) that opens up into a little compartment. At first it was cool because when you open it it either sings some cool scat-stlye songs (or in the learning mode says "open," "closed," "hello," "goodbye.") and I decided it would be fun to stick some cheerios in there as a surprise. But eventually my daughter managed to pull that little door off and though its easy to put back on she ALWAYS pulls it off so eventually I just took it away so it wouldn't get lost. Only now its hard to get it to sing the scat-songs again.
Overall, an excellent purchase! It will certainly grow with your child and let them discover music and create music themselves.
Table legs do not come off! November 23, 2008 I bought this toy for my 6-month old little girl, thinking that the legs were removable and she could play while she sat at it, but unfortunately, I have to hold her up everytime since she's not pulling up to a standing position on her own. The legs are NOT removable from the table. She loves playing when I'm holding her, but I would not recommend this toy for babies unless they can pull up to a standing position on their own.
My son loves this toy but the legs are flimsy November 19, 2008 I bought this toy thinking it would be perfect for my 8 month old son who was learning and loving to stand on his own. Well, the legs really are flimsy so it wasn't the best toy to learn to stand on his own and pull up on because it pushes across the floor as soon as you put weight onto it. However, I now just put it up against the wall or the ottoman for him to play with it. He loves the toy, he has learned how to rip off the green "door" next to the songbook and guitar. I wish it had more modes because it really is a fun toy and my son loves it. I had to give it 4 stars because of the flimsy legs and the easily removable green "door" piece even though I do like that the legs are easy to remove so that it can just be put on the floor or the table or wherever.
Great learning "table"! November 19, 2008 I needed something to keep my twins entertained and this was a great choice. They can't walk yet but can pull themselves up (the legs can easily be removed if they cannot stand yet) so it is a great way for them to practice these skills. The music is very "jazzy" which was a nice surprise for the adults in the house. And it has a lot of learning elements that they can grow into. Well worth the money.
