SWEET RIDE!!! September 19, 2008 Great model!!! I wish it was more matt black colored but nice model. I also wish it had a batpod with it. Overall great model!!!!
I need my "Dark Knight" Fix... September 18, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Ok, while I'm prepping for a horror run next month and I've been anxiously awaiting the announcement of "The Dark Knight" Dvd or Blu-ray--December 9, 2008 is the day we get to pick up the best super-hero film (in my opinion) on either Blu-ray or Dvd! I'll be taking the morning off!
Anyway, this replica of the "Thumbler" or the Batmobile featured on both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight is made by Hot Wheels. Nice craftsmanship, very detailed and made in die-cast.
The only complaint I may have is that it had some bright gold-colored parts that didn't look like the actual "Batmobile" in the film and it also has somewhat of a glossy finish...not in the film. It's also a little smaller than I would have wanted it to be.
Anyway, still a great collectible for the die-hard Batman fan! Enjoy!
RECOMMENDED!!
who says woopak can't write a fun review?? It's perfect if you want to do a little spelunking...
Great Diecast! August 30, 2008 Got this Diecast after watching the movie The Dark Knight. It's a well made Diecast. Excellent details and great quality. I bought two of them. One for my son and the other one for my collection. Amazon.com had the best price on this Diecast. Thank you!
This is a gorgeous toy mold. August 16, 2008 This is a really highly detailed toy. Rubber tires. Metal and plastic body. Really nice.
It's not terrible, but it's not spectacular either. August 13, 2008 Overall, the Tumbler looks pretty good. The scale is decent, though the front wheels are a little on the large side for the scale. One of them also rubs to the point of barely spinning. Granted, this isn't a toy vehicle, but it's definitely still a defect. The display box is very nice, but like other vehicles, the plastic that "keeps" it in place takes away a bit of the display quality. The body is a lot more plastic than I expected (pretty much the entire outer shell), but the build quality feels pretty solid. The opposite of this is the 1989 1/18 Scale Batmobile. That car is almost entirely metal, except a few small sections. I do love the Tumbler itself, and it displays well with the other cars in my die-cast collection.
